PROFESSIONAL TRAINING, SHOWING AND COACHING FOR HORSES AND RIDERS
K athryn Stodick, U.S. Dressage Federation Associate Dressage Instructor, is the owner of Much Ado Arabian s. Katie is an accomplished horsewoman and trainer who specializes in starting young horses or tuning up older horses with a focus on Dressage, Sport Horse and Hunter Pleasure. Katie
received her USDF Rider Performance Awards in Training Level
and First Level in just 3 months on a 4 year old horse. Although she primarily works with Arabian and Arabian-cross Sport Horses, she also accepts other performance horse breeds as her schedule permits. Take
a look at our
Results Page to see what our horses and riders in
training have been up to.
Much Ado Arabians accepts a limited number of horses for training at any given time to insure that each animal gets individualized, consistent, regular work, 5 days a week. Katie does all the training and horses are never passed along to helpers. We encourage owners to participate in the process and we customize our program to suit as much or as little hands-on involvement as each owner prefers.

About Trainer Katie Stodick
Katie has life-long experience training horses. Her calm, confident style creates calm, confident horses. She has successfully introduced young horses to the competitive world of the show ring, to the wide-open spaces of high country trails, and to the boisterous excitement of parades. In 2004 she rode four year old Mi Merlin KB in the Portland Rose Parade, winning her division with the Cross Roads Ladies Aside Sidesaddle Club.
Growing up around horses
gave Katie a natural ability to work with horses
and riders. Equally at ease working with children or
adults, her students range from beginning riders to
regional competitors, to people who just want to
have fun trail riding with friends. Having had a successful show career in a variety of divisions, K atie is also an Oregon High School Equestrian Team (OHSET) judge. Katie shows the horses she has in training, helping them to build their resumes while earning numerous Class A and Regional Awards. She also works with her students to help them experience the fun, the confidence-building, and the pride that comes from successfully competing with an equine partner.
At Much Ado Arabians, we believe that
TEAM WORK Makes The DREAM Work
We specialize in people — people who want to be part of a team, who want to do some of the work, who want to be a part of something supportive, encouraging and positive. What greater thrill is there than winning a ribbon you have truly earned! We teach our amateur adult and junior riders to do the grooming, do the schooling and do the showing so they can feel the accomplishment of doing it themselves and winning.
We support clients at all levels of competition — from breed shows to open shows, schooling shows, 4-H and High School Equestrian Team. We train and teach most disciplines. Just getting started? Have some experience? We may be just the sort of barn you are looking for! Give us a call at 503-682-4982.
